INITIAL LICENSE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The DICOM Anonymizer creates a 3 day limited license when started for the first time. The license is linked
to the hardware of your PC.
The limitations are:
 -anonymize a maximum of 5 files per go
 -pseudonymize is disabled
 -the following options are disabled:
  1. UID replacement
  2. private tags clearance
  3. curve data clearance
  4. anonymized filename modification

REGISTER LICENSE

Remove the limitations by registering and activating your license. Fill out the Registration/Activation
form and click 'Register'. Our licensing server will send an Activation Key to the email address entered in
the Registration form. Use this Key to activate your license.
Internet connection is required.

ACTIVATE LICENSE

Check your email for the Activation Key. Enter the Activation Key in the Registration/Activation form and
click 'Activate'. Our licensing server is contacted and all limitations will be removed. You now have
a free 7 day unlimited license and are able to buy the upgrade.
Internet connection is required.

UPGRADE LICENSE

When you are registered and have activated your license, an upgrade to an unlimited license is available.
Click 'Buy/Upgrade' in the license menu to open the upgrade page and choose a payment options. PayPal payment
is automated, your license will be upgraded when payment is processed.
Payment with a payment link is not automated, an email will be created requesting a payment link. Send
the email and we will return an email with the payment link. When your payment is processed, your license
will be upgraded. Please allow 48 hours for the upgrade to be applied.
Retrieve the upgrade from our licensing server by opening the Registration/Activation form and
click 'Check upgrade', or restart the software.

TRANSFER LICENSE

The license is linked to the hardware of your PC. Paid licenses can be transferred to a different PC.
On the current PC:
 1. Click 'Transfer' in the license menu
 2. Confirm your choice. The license will be deactivated on your PC and your Activation Key is copied to
    the clipboard. The software will exit.
On the new PC:
 1. Start the DICOM Anonymizer, do NOT register
 2. Enter your Activation Key in the Registration/Activation form and click 'Activate'
Your license in now active on the new PC.

LICENSE CHECK
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When your software license is registered and activated, the software can be used off-line. However, every
few weeks, the license must be validated with our licensing server. If this fails due to a missing internet
connection, connect the PC to the internet and restart the software.

HARDWARE LICENSE KEY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The DICOM Anonymizer may use the USB hardware key holding the full DICOM Viewer license. Start the Anonymizer
first and then plug in the USB key. Wait for the pop-up window and choose 'Yes' to activate the USB key-check
and restart the software.
For a network hardware key license, the USB hardware key may not be available to the client. Just plug in
any USB device to trigger the DICOM Anonymizer to check for the hardware key license on the network.
